In And Around Our School...

Alongside an academically rigorous curriculum, Moorlands recognises that children have different interests and strengths and therefore aims to provide opportunities for all pupils, whether they enjoy sport, art, computing, music, drama or outdoor education. Whilst our expectations are high, Moorlands is still very much a school where children can be children.

‘A harmonious atmosphere where individuality is championed.’ (ISI January 2017)

At Moorlands, we have a simple yet beautiful motto, 'Intrepide!', or 'be brave'! Being brave isn’t always a grand gesture; sometimes it simply means 'having a go', such as attempting that difficult question, offering an answer in class when you’re not quite sure or trying something new. This culture of intrepidness allows children to try new things in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

‘Pupils show true resilience and take pride in living up to the school’s motto of being intrepid.’ (ISI January 2017)
